Anchorsplash

In order to raise money for Service For Sight, we hold a week long event called "Anchor Splash" at the Northern Illinois University's Anderson Pool and the Holmes Studen Center. During the week, our chapter hosts an ice cream social at our house and sets up 'Most Beautiful Eyes' penny voting throughout campus to raise money for service for sight.  We also host two events on the weekend to help raise money for our cause. The first day of events consists of relay races, synchronized swimming and other competitions at the pool and the second day consists of skits for Mr. and Mrs. Anchor Splash, lip sync, Mr. Anchorman, and much, much more!

Golden Anchor Program

The purpose of the Golden Anchor Program is to assist Delta Gamma senior citizens, as well as other senior citizens who reside in all types of health care facilities throughout the United States and Canada, by bringing joy to their life using this program. Every year in February we plan a Valentines Day dance at Oak Crest Assisted Living in DeKalb. It is tons of fun and we also get to know a lot of the people living there! Throughout the school year we also volunteer three days a week: Tuesday is Bingo night, Thursday is Euchre night, and Friday is board game
